Trail Etiquette
Our Trail Etiquette is to encourage all users to be courteous and polite to other trail users.
Basic Rules
Pack out what you pack in.
To prevent damaging trails avoid using trails when they are wet and muddy.
Please stay on the trail, go through puddles not around.
Hikers:
Yield to equestrians, talk calmly and ask the rider how to pass safely.
Do not cut switchbacks or shortcut trails.
Dogs must be under sight and voice control at all times, or should be on a leash.
Do not allow your dog to chase wildlife.
Please pick up after your pet.
Cyclists:
Yield the trail to hikers and equestrians.
Downhill traffic yields to uphill traffic.
Always ride in control.
When trail visibility is reduced anticipate others on the trail.
To prevent trail damage and erosion avoid skidding.
Equestrian:
Know your riding ability and your horse's trail ability.
Inform users of the safest way to pass.
Please scatter manure off trails.
Off Highway Vehicles:
Yield to all trail users.
Provide as much room as possible to allow trail users to pass.
When trail visibility is reduced anticipate others on the trail.
To prevent Trail damage and erosion please avoid spinning your tires.
