WHTA AGM - March 7, 2018

Post date: Jan 30, 2018 3:13:58 PM

The West Hants Trails Association is dedicated to the development and promotion of multi-use trails in the Municipality of the District of West Hants. We currently maintain and upgrade trails in Cheverie and Avondale, and are looking to plan new trails in the region. We also organize guided hikes and other activities and encourage people to use these wonderful resources. We want to hear what you would like to see in terms of multi-use trails in West Hants!

The Annual General Meeting of the West Hants Trails Association will be held on Wednesday, March 7, at 7:00 PM at the Centre Burlington Hall. This is the chance for all members to hear reports about activities in 2017, and to participate in making plans for 2018. The Agenda and Minutes will be circulated close to the meeting date for those members on our email list.

We are also looking for volunteers to help enhance multi-use trails in the region, and especially need people who like to do these activities:

• Trail promotion and outreach

• Maintenance and work party organization

• Mapping

• Special events and guided hike organization

• Grant writing

• Communications/Online engagement

• Trail monitors

• New trail suggestions

Our board meets about 10 times each year, and you are welcome and encouraged to join the board. But you can still volunteer without coming to any meetings at all! Come enjoy your trails and meet your neighbours. Please plan to attend the meeting March 7!
